Middle-East-Info.org - Middle
East Regimes, Islamic Totalitarianism and Terrorism
Why should you care about regimes in the Middle East?
The
scourge of international terrorism and suicide
bombings has reached far beyond the United States and Israel,
the Middle East’s sole democracy to the European Union,
the Balkans as well as India, China, Russia, Sub-Saharan Africa,
Thailand, the Philippines, and even the Islamic world. The Middle
East includes 7
out of 19 of the most repressive regimes in the world and their
weapons of mass destruction. It
is also the hotbed of Islamic
Totalitarianism and Jihad
(Holy War), an ideology of world domination. 5
out of the world's 7 state sponsors of terrorism and half of
the world’s
major terror groups are Arab and Iranian. The combination
of these factors makes it more important than ever to be acquainted
with the reality of the Middle East.
What is terrorism?
Terrorism
is above all politically motivated targeting of civilians.
For
example, the deliberate
killings of Israeli civilians by Palestinian armed groups are
both widespread and systematic, and are perpetrated as part of a
publicly announced policy to target civilians.
What
are Islamic
Totalitarianism and Jihad?
Islamic
Totalitarianism —State Islam— rule by Islamic Law is
a movement, akin to fascism and communism.
Jihad
(Arabic for "struggle") is a central duty of every Muslim
and is "holy war." Or, more precisely: It means the legal,
compulsory, communal effort to expand the territories ruled by Muslims
at the expense of territories ruled by non-Muslims. The purpose
of jihad, in other words, is not directly to spread the Islamic
faith but to extend sovereign Muslim power including rule of Islamic
law (faith, of course, often follows the flag). Jihad is thus unabashedly
offensive in nature, with the eventual goal of achieving Muslim
dominion over the entire globe. The Qur'an and sayings of the Prophet
Muhammad are used by jihad terrorists today to justify their actions
and gain new recruits.
Some
modern
Muslim theologians have spoken of other things as jihads, such as
the struggle within the soul, defending the faith from critics,
supporting its growth and defense financially, even migrating to
non-Muslim lands for the purpose of spreading Islam, but no major
Muslim group has ever repudiated the doctrines of armed jihad.
Only when jihad is defeated will moderate Muslims finally find their
voice and truly begin the hard work of modernizing Islam.
What you need to know about Arab and Iranian dictators' propaganda
The
mechanics of tyranny make Arab and Iranian dictators inherently
belligerent. Even
if the Arab and Iranian dictators' regimes and their terrorist arms
had never initiated force against Israel and the other democracies,
they still would have no moral right to exist.
Arab and Iranian dictators' propaganda is insidious: sponsors
of terrorism establish "independent" human rights organizations,
victims are turned into aggressors and savages, barbarians
are painted as victims, imperialists and warmongers are declared
moderates, defense is aggression, offense is defense, democrats
are denounced as imperialists, dictators are lauded as democrats,
and there
are no problems that could not be resolved through the destruction
of Israel,
the Middle East’s sole democracy.
The
propaganda tactics deployed by Arab and Iranian regimes are as simple
as they are cunning: diversion and deceit. The diversion is in the
systematic changing of the subject from the real aim, which is oppression
and embezzlement from their own people and even global Islamic tyranny,
to issues that people in the democratic world care deeply about
like freedom of expression, right of ownership or equality before
the law. The deceit is in that all this crusading energy disappears
once one leaves the borders of democratic states and enters Iran
and the Arab world. Not only do Arab and Iranian dictators fail
to accord Arab, Iranian and Muslim majorities in their states even
a fraction of what they demand the democratic world including Israel
accord its Arab, Iranian and Muslim minorities, they even incite
against other people and support Islamic terrorism worldwide. In
other words, Arab and Iranian dictators and their supporters hail
democratic values only when it helps undermine democracy.

The
first test of intentions is not what Arab and Iranian dictators
say to the West, but what they say and do to the children, women,
minorities and dissidents in their countries.
Why should you care about the freedom of 360 million Arabs and Iranians?
Because
the same Arab and Iranian dictators oppress their fellow subjects,
sponsor
half of the world’s
major terror groups and imperil the
Middle East’s sole democracy.
Democratically governed nations are more likely to secure the peace,
deter aggression, expand open markets, promote economic development,
protect Western citizens, combat international terrorism and crime,
uphold human and worker rights, avoid humanitarian crises and refugee
flows, improve the global environment, and protect human health.
What you need to know about Arabs and Muslims living in democratic
Israel
Israel
is a democracy which recognizes the individual rights of its citizens
(such as their right to liberty and freedom of speech).
The
Israeli government is the only government in the Middle East that
is elected
by free citizens -- including 1.2
million Arabs and Muslims.
Israel
is the sole Middle East country with the rule of law (including
an independent
judiciary and state's monopoly to use force), freedom of speech,
press and religion, property rights, minority rights, and the right
to form voluntary organizations (especially political parties) etc.
The
enemies of Israel, by contrast, are dictatorships and state sponsored
terrorist organizations. They do not recognize the individual
rights of their own subjects, much less those of the citizens of
Israel. They initiate force indiscriminately in order to retain
and expand their power.
Israel
is the only country in the world which is regularly slated for extermination.

East.

- Funded
by private persons only

- What
brings us together is our mutual concern about the Arab and Iranian
dictators who oppress their fellow subjects, sponsor
half of the world’s
major terror groups and imperil the
Middle East’s sole democracy:
360 million oppressed people in Arab states and Iran are entitled
to freedom and prosperity enjoyed by Europeans, Americans and
Israelis.
Last but not least, we believe that Israel and those who attack
it are not moral equals and are certainly not seeking to establish
an even freer nation: they are seeking to wipe out the only outpost
of freedom in the Middle East. Neddless to say, Israeli actions
or policies are not perfect, like in all democracies. We support
Israel not for its shortcommings but for its virtues, and we understand
that those who threaten Israel's freedom also threaten the rest
of the free world; if they succeed in destroying Israel, they
will turn their full aggressions even more than today to the rest
of the free world.
The
purpose of this website is
to provide links to information, predominantly from Arab, Iranian
and international sources, about the Middle-East = 10% of world
land area = 50%
of the world's major terror groups = 67%
of the world's state sponsors of terrorism = 22 Arab regimes,
Iran and Israel.
